I have been a doula since 2012. I am trained as a birth doula, loss and abortion doula, and as a certified breastfeeding specialist (CBS). I work as a full-spectrum doula, which means I support people through any reproductive experience. I am active in birth, midwifery, and doula advocacy on a national level.
I am a co-founder and former director of the New Mexico Doula Association, am a co-founder of and consultant to the UNMH Volunteer Birth Companion program and I was a HealthConnectOne Birth Equity Leadership Academy Leader. I have a certificate in Public Health (Maternal Child Health) from the University of New Mexico. I am also a former doula member of Birthmark Doula Collective in New Orleans.
I am currently providing virtual doula support (which includes pregnancy coaching, birth visioning, postpartum planning, miscarriage support, and more) as well as doula mentoring for new doulas. In 2020, I created the Writing Your Birth Story Online Course, an affordable, inclusive online course that helps parents write their birth stories. I also have a small line of plant medicine for parents and birthworkers called Starbodied Herbals.
